Wellbeing Coaching - a lighthouse in the waves

Feeling adrift in certain aspects of life? Treading water? Or battered from all directions? Whatever the cause - nutrition and health, work, relationships, lifestyle, or something you can’t quite put your finger on - it takes courage to admit that all is not well. So take a deep breath and shelter a while, as you begin to explore where you’ve been and where you want to go. In this peaceful space, turbulent thoughts can be transformed into inspired action. You can learn to read your inner compass and shine a light on unexplored perspectives or possibilities. This is a chance to quiet your mind, listen to your intuition, and begin to master - or change - the flow of your own life, one wave at a time.

  • In our Wellbeing Coaching session, you’ll find a safe, non-judgemental space where, at your own pace, you can talk through your current reality.

    You may wish to focus on a specific area that’s concerning you or you may be pausing to consider (perhaps for the first time) just what is keeping you from feeling a greater sense of wellbeing in daily life. 

    The session will encourage deeper enquiry and give you a chance to explore your feelings, behaviours, and challenges. It’s also an opportunity to put your thoughts into words and consider what you want to create.

    As your wellbeing coach, I can provide supportive resources to help you feel more informed, empowered, and motivated, as you set your own course and become the source of your own wellbeing.

    • I have a Triple Qualification from Well College Global including the following awards:-

    • Level 5 Diploma in Nutrition and Health Coaching, awarded by authority of Ofqual UK. Course accredited by Personalised Care Institute (NHS); EMCC Practitioner; IICT; ACCPH (UK); IPHM.

    • Certified Women’s Health and Wellness Coach, course accredited by IICT, IPHM, ACCPH.

    • Certified Holistic Wellness Coach, course accredited by IICT, IPHM, ACCPH.

  • Coaching, talk therapy, and counselling are often confused because offering a non-judgemental, confidential space to share your thoughts is typically at the heart of all these helping professions. Wellbeing Coaching may feel therapeutic; it’s often a relief to finally have time to think, talk, and take positive steps forward. However, it’s not a replacement for mental health treatment. Understanding the distinction between coaching and therapy/counselling keeps practitioners within their scope of practice and empowers clients/patients to achieve their full potential:-

    Therapy and counselling deals with deep rooted cognitive and emotional issues including mental health and trauma. With this in mind, if you feel overwhelmed by your emotions; past or present trauma; if you’re worried that you’re not coping with daily life; or if you’re in mental health crisis, please seek clinical support from your local GP, the NHS, or a registered counsellor / therapist. My voyage of discovery…

  • What led me to Wellbeing Coaching? For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved devouring books and articles exploring the interconnectedness of our mind, body, spirit…everything! Over the years, it’s been exciting to watch science validate ancient wisdom. Nourishing foods are natural medicine. Our thoughts are powerful. Gut feelings are rooted in neuroscience. Nature can heal. And still we’re learning.

    Also, I’ve always been in my element using creative communications to uncover and share important messages. During my radio broadcasting years, producing and hosting interviews was a chance to hear personal stories and understand people better. I quickly discovered that establishing trust, actively listening, and asking open questions could take the conversation deeper and lead to real treasure.

    Most importantly though, I learned early that bravely speaking your truth, in a confidential, supportive, one-to-one conversation, could be transformational. Back then, I didn’t know these skills, passions, and experiences were stars lighting the way to wellbeing coaching.

  • In my life, being able to talk things though (with help from personal and professional sources) has given me the tools to navigate all kinds of experiences, from everyday challenges and big adventures to some of life’s greatest storms. 

    This has included following my dream into radio broadcasting, then selling my little city flat to travel Europe in a campervan, fulfilling my bigger dream of earning a living while living by the sea, experiencing the great privilege of becoming a mum, and realising I could set my own standard for success: celebrating simple pleasures and positive ideals, every day.

    Of course, some life experiences can knock us sideways and threaten to overwhelm us. Like many people, I’ve experienced the impact of chronic stress, intense grief, emotional trauma, and life-changing loss.

    During the darkest of times, finding space to unravel the knots in my mind (while anchored to compassionate, non-judgemental support) helped steer me away from breaking point and back home to myself. 

  • It goes without saying (almost) that I’ll be forever grateful to the people who gave me a listening ear and boat loads of encouragement.

    Also, while I have informally been a confidante to many loved ones, I’ve noticed how many people struggle silently. Amidst daily distractions, it can be tough to find a trusted person, offering a quiet space, and plenty of time for us to talk openly about our wellbeing challenges and wildest dreams.

    Ultimately, the confluence of these life experiences and realisations led me to begin a practice of Wellbeing Coaching. It’s one of my wildest dreams to support more people in my community, as their talk becomes a transformative journey towards brighter horizons.
